Jesus Bled, So You Don't Have Too

Happy #SelfLoveSaturday! And April!

This month I'm doing things a little different. Easter is coming back and it is my favorite holiday. It is not my favorite holiday because of a bunny rabbit and all the chocolate, although the choclate is very good. But, the real reason about Easter, Jesus dying and coming back to life. A beautiful thing for us broken sinners.

One of my favorite things that I have herd is, we do not have to make us bleed, because Jesus bled for us.

When I was self harming I horrible about myself. When I heard this saying, it reminded me that Jesus went through this pain that I was supposed to go through, so I wouldn't have to go through it. We will have hard times, but nothing compares to going on the cross to be crucified.

It's really hard pill to swallow sometimes. The fact that Jesus came to this earth to die our death. But, He did. This beautiful FLAWLESS man, died for us. The broken sinners who mess up every single day. He looks at us with love. When He sid, "It is finished," He meant that.

It is finished. We don't have to hurt ourselves. We don't have to cut ourselves. We don't have to say horrible things to ourselves. It is finished. Isn't that beutiful?

You should love yourselves, because Jesus came down to show us just how much God loves us.

"But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

Let God In

Happy #SelfLoveSaturday friends!

So, usually the last Saturday of every month, I ask for questions and I answer the few I get. But, this month I did not try very hard to get any because, I had a question.

I feel called to reach out to people who struggle with deression, anxiety, or any kind of mental illness, because sometimes it feels like it just takes control and you have know idea how to help it. I've been there. And lately God has been teaching me lately, that the only way He can heal us, is if He sits there with me.

So, how do we invite God to sit in our brokenness?

And sadly, I on't have an answer, but I have a prayer. Use it if you need too.

Thank You for being mighty and strong. Thank You for forgiving me and giving me all the grace and hope I need to press forward.

I am here today, not doing so well. My head hurts and I am so tired. I ask You to teach me to come to You. Teach me to trust You, trust that You can heal me. You can move mountains, why can't I trust You?

Teach me to see Your greatness, all that You are, Lord.

Teach me to go to Your word. Your word has everything I need to survive. It has Your truth, love, guidence, and hope. Please help me go to Your word before all else.

Jesus, move me to places I have never been. Help me to understand that You can heal this broken mess I have gotten myself into. Please help me to ask You to sit with me. Sit with me and calm my anxiety. Sit with me and catch every tear that falls at 3 a.m. You are my everything, Lord.

My depression may sneek in. My anxiety may be racing. But, my God, You will never fail. Your will be done. Please continue to love me and give me grace. You are good Father, so good. Let me be reminded of that daily.

God Blesses Me, Even When I Don't Know

Do you ever realize how much God blesses you?

Do you ever realize how much you are loved by God?

You may not be lucky, but you are blessed. And it's crazy.

God blesses us even when we don't even notice.

I'd like to say I am pretty lucky. I've gotten to go to plenty of concerts for free, I've gotten to meet my favorite celebrity, I have a house, a job, a phone, I get to travel, I mean, I have a lot of things that some poeple might never have. That is all just so crazy to me. I look at my phone, probably more than 100 times a day and some people don't even have that temptation to look at their phone every 15 seconds. We don't even really think about those little things.

But, can we just take a second and realize that God blesses us with so much more than earthly things? He blesses us with a chance to get to know Him. He blesses us with a chance to get to walk with Him. He blesses us with a plan. He blesses us with a chance to have Heaven as our home.

Isn't that crazy?

He loves you. He wants so much for your life, which is why you woke up today. You might be tired of hearinh how blessed you are, I know. It's hard to feel blessed when you don't see the beauty in things. But, truse me, you are blessed. You woke up today because God has a plan for your life. God wants you for His kingdom. He is fighting for you. Remeber that.

Love yourselves because He is fighting for you. Happy #SelfLoveSaturday

No Matter What // You Are Blessed

So, you don't have the next big thing. Maybe, you still have the flip phone. Maybe you have a smart phone, but it's a horrible one.

Maybe you're watching TV on a microwave when your neighbor is watching TV on a movie screen.

Maybe you don't have a puppy and al you have is sadness because you don't feel blessed.

Here I am to remind you, that it's okay. It's okay. Sometimes I feel like that and I know so many other people do too. But, here, I'll name some of the things I have, maybe you have these too.

Do you have at least one of those? Do you two, or maybe all three? You are blessed. I know, it's crazy.

We live in a world right now that is constantly on a phone and constantly waiting for the next big thing. Take a step back and realize, those things could break. But, God, family, friends? That will never break. God is constant. Family will always have your back. You can always share your secrets with the best of friends. Don't forget that.

You woke up today. You are blessed. No matter what, you have God. You are blessed.

Happy #SelfLoveSaturday

So, it's March! And the first Saturday in March. It feels like this year is going as fast as it can. I just want time to slow down, but wouldn't we all?

Anyways, the first Self Love Saturday is a day I put down the pen and let all of you inspire people. Today I asked a couple of people Why are you lucky/blessed, because we all know that very green holiday coming up. You know, if you don't wear green, you get pinched! Yeah, no thank you. But, if you wear green, you'll be lucky? Yeah, no. Feeling lucky/blessed comes with all that you have, even if it's not much, you have something and that is a beautiful thing. You have people in your life who love you and care for you. That's a pretty big blessing right there.

But, anyways, let's get into this.

"So, I've recently been blessed with the opportunity to find inner peace with meditation. I believe that we all encounter people and moments in life to learn, grow, and inspire them. I thank God that I have found a group of people who care and uplift me to be the best of me possible. My family, friends, and acquaintances have all been apart of me, so with that I am blessed to be an inspiration through the life that I have so far endured. As well, I thank God for my mind, body, and spirit for they have supported me to where I am today."

"I have the most amazing family and friends and I got to meet my favorite person ever, Carrie Underwood."

"We are blessed to be apart of so many women's self-love journeys!"

"I'm blessed because I have amazing friends and family and a good education."

"I am so lucky/blessed that I have such amazing friends and family surrounding me. I have crazy dreams, but I have friends who continue to support me by loving and praying for me. And of course, I am so blessed to have a Savior who continues to forgive me daily, because I am a hot mess daily. I love the way He loves me and I so want to love people and Him the way He loves me."

Why are you lucky/blessed?

Feeling Exhausted

Happy #SelfLoveSaturday! Orrrrr, happy sleep day, because I am exhausted. Usually on the last Saturday of every month I do a Q&A, but this month, that did not happen. I did not post about it at all, because I just really wanted to sleep all day.

So, I asked myself a question.

"How do I stay committed to important things when I am so exhausted from work and school?"

And here's the answer, you don't. You need to make time for things that matter.

-Your mental health

Everything else comes next.

Sometimes it's okay not to be a friend. Sometimes it's okay not to work out. Sometimes it's okay not to be perfect. Don't try to hard.

PlayOnInfinity is something that has become really important to me, but I need to take care of my relationship with Jesus and my own self before I try to inspire others. So, if I'm feeling exhausted, my inspiring others, will not be that good.

I'm learning how to deal with this. I'm also learning at what keeps me motivated and moving, and that is worship music. So, you have a 5 minutes by yourself? Do something you love. For me, that is listening to worship music.

What is something you love to do that is going to help you relax?

Be Your Own Valentine

The month of February for Self Love Saturday I decided to focus on the fact of not having a Valentine is okay, even it may be hard looking on Instagram at all the couple pictures and you want to throw up looking at all the 'cuteness.' Today I want to bring up, dating yourself is a good thing.

Last Valentines Day, I had a Valentine, but I can't tell you how excited I am to treat myself this Valentines Day. I mean, I'm pretty positive I'll be working Taco Tuesday where I work on Valentines Day, but I'm excited. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's great when you have a Valentine. But, until it's with your person you'll be spending with the rest of your life, it's not much. It's more stressful than anything.

But, that's not the point of this blog. Let me tell you three good things why it's a good idea to date yourself.

-You get to learn about what you like and what you enjoy doing. This is so important. I believe that I never knew who I was until I was single again and I needed to spend time with myself and God. And I've only had one relationship, and I'm just getting to this point of knowing myself. It is a beautiful thing.

-Treating Yourself. Yes, it is fun to treat other people. But, it is so much fun to leave the stress for a moment and treat yourself. Get your hair done, go eat Chick-Fil-A (or the food place of your choice), get your nails done, go buy yourself some chocolate, work out, read your favorite book, I could go on, but you get the point.

-Better Yourself. I have been getting to better myself because I decided to focus on myself and God. It is such a beautiful thing getting to know yourself and treating yourself because in the end you will be more confident and appreciate who you are.

Before you have a Valentine, be your Valentine. Learn to love yourself before finding a love. You are beautiful inside and out.

If you need a little help to what to do to treat yourself on Valentines Day, here's how mine will probably go:

I'll probably work, but luckily Chick-Fil-A is right nearby! I'll go home and read my Bible, because I may not have a Valentine, but God is the greatest love of all time. Lastly, I will be enjoying chocolate covered strawberries, because it is a tradition that me and my mom always do. Enjoy your Valentines Day.

Love Yourself. Have a good Self Love Saturday.

"So you don't have a Valentine..."

The first Self Love Saturday of every month I ask people a question and I get them all together, so it's not just me telling everyone to love themselves. Today, I asked people to finish the sentence, "So you don't have a Valentine..." What did everyone say?

"...but your life is so much more than a Valentine." -IG: cierra_sue

" have got your friends and family. Spend time with A different kind of love, see a movie with some friends, eat dinner at the local diner with a handful of family, whatever you do, love is love, and Valentine's Day is there to represent it. You don't need to be in a romantic relationship to enjoy Valentine's Day. # LOVEISLOVE." -IG: shacourage

"...Buy yourself chocolate and a giant stuffed bear." -IG: heather.elyseee

"...and that is perfectly okay. Loving yourself is more important than any relationship you will have. You must want to spend the rest of your life with yourself first. Love yourself and the rest will come." -IG: coy.akers

" what? You have the love of your friends, your family & yourself - that’s all that matters." -IG: 5301janine_dac

"...spend time with yourself. Get to know you. Go somewhere you enjoy and enjoy life. You deserve to be happy. Be happy." -Me! IG: playoninfinity

Remember, just because you don't have a Valentine, it does not mean you are not loved. Because you are so loved. Your family, friends, God, and so many people around you love you so much. You are important and you should love yourselves.
