The most beautiful time of the year is here, but also it may be the most stressful time of the year for some. So, I'm writing this for all of those who are stressing about food, money, family, new years resolutons, and parties.
I want you to breathe. Breathe in and out for me.
I remember when I was going through depression, the high of it. ll I thought about was the fake smile I had to put on in front of my family. I remember stressing about food when I was starving myself, I remember thinking I shouldn't be eating this cookie. I remember trying to buy the best gifts for people, and then feeling bad because I am not the best, so I needed to spend more money, that I didn't have. I remember all the new years resolutions that I didn't keep and I felt like a filure. I remember all the parties I didn't want to be at because I wanted to be in my bed alone, crying.
I don't wish any of this on anyone, but this time of the year is very stressful for people. It gets hard.
So, if you re going through any of this, I want you to know, you are not alone. People around you love you. They ony want to be with you this seson. They care about you.
Jesus came to this world to die for us, and that is what Christmas is all about. Let's not forget about that. So, stress is vey real, but so is Jesus. So, is the love Christ has for us. So, although the gifts and the lights are great, let's not forget to speak about Jesus this season. Let's not forget that He can heal all this stress.
You are not alone.
I am here for you.
Your family loves you.
Breathe. And enjoy this season.
